In an effort to better serve our members we are instituting a new policy for getting the demo sheets to the audience more efficiently. All demo companies are to email or fax to Nancy Blogin their demo sheets for the Expo by August 1st, 2010. Nancy will copy 500 copies for you and assemble them in order of demo by mid-afternoon on the day of your demo. That way when everyone arrives and is in a hurry to find the perfect seat, they will not have to hold up the line looking for each demo company’s sheets, they will be on the clipboards and ready to pick-up and go! If you need to make changes in the order of your demo, or delete an item, the announcer will notify the audience. NOTICE: Anyone not sending their demo sheets to Nancy by August, 1st will be responsible for making their own copies and distributing those copies to the audience, on a table separate from where the clipboards are laid out. Note: All copies will be printed in black and white. Nancy Blogin |
New DOT/PHMSA Shipping Document Requirements- October 1, 2010 Compliance Date The DOT/PHMSA has new criteria for the emergency road service. They now require that bills of lading and other shipping documents need to include additional information. The voluntary compliance period has begun, however, the mandatory compliance date of October 1, 2010 will require changes be make to your printed shipping documents. Fines will be issued for failure to comply after October 1st. The new regulation requires shippers of hazardous materials to include their Infotrac assigned Contract Number, to appear along with the Infotrac emergency response telephone number on all shipping documents. Infotrac will be sending out letter to all NFA enrolled members to advise of these changes and give further instructions as to how to implement these changes on your bills of lading. Infotrac will be providing labels so that each member can write the Contract Number on the label. Please keep in mind that if the agencies name is listed on the label then the contract number is not required. We suggest that you begin using this information right away and become familiar with the practice, prior to the mandatory date of October 1, 2010. Nancy Blogin, has your companies assigned Contract Number. You may contact Nancy at: nlblogin@kc.rr.com or by phone 816-741-1826. This information is also available through Infotrac direct. |
